Does it tell you on the container? I would guess a good long time, a couple weeks maybe?

Depends on what it's taped to. You could probably leave it on another painted surface for years. I've had it peel finish off a table within hours. If you visit some floor refinish sites, you'll see all kinds of damage to concrete and stone from tape.

The Frog Tape I bought says on the package it has a 14 day clean release. I did not let it go that long but it was several days, it did release clean.

I waited 3 weeks, and paint pilled off woth tape.

Sales person at Sherwin Williams paint recommended 4 hours for interior paint paint, but not more than a week.
