Garage Door Repaint Help

I am looking to repaint an old wooden garage door identical to the one seen on the left (before) picture below.

I was looking for a recommendation on type of Exterior paint and primer and any brand preferences.

1. Primer: Acrylic? Brand?
2. Paint: Latex or Oil? Brand?

Thanks much!

Oil based CoverStain for spot priming raw areas of wood that are exposed, then 100 percent acrylic exterior paint in satin sheen or whatever you prefer.

So, just to confirm, no need to prime the whole thing for better adhesion? Just prime any exposed wood from prep or weathering?

Any brand recommendation? I know this is sensitive...but just looking for personal opinion.

As long as the wood is clean and dull, I don't think priming is necessary. My favorite exterior paint right now is C2, but Benjamin Moore Regal Select is also good and so is Sherwin Williams SuperPaint.
