Help with shades of gray paint

I'm looking for a very silvery gray paint to complement a very deep rich eggplant color. So I don't need any with blue, green, purple, etc... I'm guessing more to the white/gray. Any suggestions so that I don't pick up the deep purple of the other walls? Thanks!

I attached a link to a good blog post about understanding grays (something I'm still trying to do).

To my untrained eye some colors to look at might be BM 1480 Sleigh Bells or 1557 Silver Song.

You might want to post this on the Home Decorating forum. A poster over there, Beekeeperswife, went through this recently looking for the perfect purple-gray.

Thanks for the links and suggestions! If I were to pick what I *think* is the color I'm looking for, then I would say RH Pumice. But I would have it mixed elsewhere because I'm not a big fan of their paint. Thanks again!
