I want to paint my front door from white to black using BM advance. I have stix oil primer in gray and bin latex primer in white. I was thinking of using the gray oil since I'm painting the exterior side and think oil would hold up better since I'm in New England but I don't know. Door is fiberglass and I'm pretty sure painted from blue to white w latex at one time. Black would cover the gray easier but I don't want any problems with mixing oil and latex. Would latex primer be good enough?

Need quick answer since the weather will be perfect for painting the next few days and someone is coming on Friday to install new handle, lockset, and deadbolt. Thank you!
