| I must repaint all my interior trim/doors, but since I just had hardwood floors refinished nothing is in the way! Original paint is oil enamel I put on 25 years ago. The company (Davis Paints) is out of business. The color is burgundy dash (deep cranberry). At Ace Hardware I can get exterior gloss oil enamel they will custom mix to match original paint. I love oils durability but I have some reservations about gloss. In my small town besides Ace's paints I can get Benjamin Moore but not in oil. Should I stick to oil or try a water-based enamel or alkyd from Ace or Benjamin Moore that I can get in semigloss? Also is there any way to change the sheen of oil from gloss to semi? |

| No way to change sheen. ACE doesn't have a S/G Oil, I work @ one! Faron |
