Glaze over Semi-Gloss paint?

Any advise will be much appreciated! I've painted a feature wall in my DR-in a rather bold coral/pink semi gloss, latex enamel. However it's more pink than the salmon color I wanted. Can I apply a glaze over it to tone it down-like make it 'filmy'? Use a brush or roller? The paint color is 'Santa Rosa' from Ace. I had purchased a sample jar at Lowes of a Satin finish..Valspar's Arizona Dust. Love it but it's too light for the wall in question. Is it possible to add this 8 oz jar of satin, to the 'Santa Rosa' semi gloss latex enamel, to lighten it?? What's a woman to do?

This advice may be wayyy to late. But ... a glaze will not soften or change a color. It may look filmy but it will actually just lay a gloss over your existing color.

Now, if you mix the glaze with a Paint two shades lighter or different than the one you don't like ... then sponge, rag or swipe it on the wall ... you will get a light film over your base color.
