Help with exterior paint colours

I posted this in the Home Decorating forum but perhaps it was in the wrong place as no one answered.

The roof is not quite as "reddish" as it seems in the pic but it's not very dark either. The suggestion by painter was go do something in taupe to go with the bricks and roof. Any suggestions or photos that might be helpful?

These are houses built in Charlotte, buuuut I think the idea is the same :)) There are a lot of different colors you can go with, maybe scrolling through those pics will give you a good idea.
