I'm hoping you guys will be able to help us make a decision on this. We're out of time to decide and the painter needs to start the exterior paint on our Nichiha siding Monday.

I love the color Filoli Yew from Valspar. I had already chosen it on a card and a friend pointed out that it's (or very similar) on a local building:

My question is: Do you choose one color and stay with it (except for trim color, in our case "Panda White" from SW)? Or do you use an accent color in the gables?

Here's our house (older pic, sorry):

Here's the paint card. We're thinking of using the lighter color from the card on the top gables and the Yew on the bottom of the house, separated by the Panda White trim line.

OR should we just stay with the Filoli Yew on the entire house?

I don't know what's the "right" way. Opinions?
