Home decorating is not my thing. I have an eye for what looks good...but not before it's done. :) We need fresh paint in our living room and kitchen. There is a large, open doorway into our kitchen from the living room. Right now nothing flows, so it feels very disjointed. There is also a brick fireplace that throws me because the brick has orange hues. We have a dark gray sofa. Right now the walls are light gray in the LR and a gray green in the kitchen. Our backsplash in the kitchen has browns, so I can't really take the gray into the kitchen. I fell in love with a soft teal color in a friend's home, but her living space is considerably larger, brighter, and fancier :) than ours, so I'm wondering if the same color would even work in our space. Or what color we should even start with in general...blues, greens, grays, etc?? We'll only be in this house a couple more years, so paint seems to be the easiest way to make it feel tied together for now. Help a girl out please?
