This was not the color we expected, it was supposed to be a melony red and is turning out to be a fiery red/orange. Any suggestions will be helpful!

First off I have to ask if you have a color chip to compare it to I ve learned that some reds one will have to paint the walls dark gray or black to bring the color out right. so if the color chip is actually darker than the walls that's what you ll have to do if the color chip is the same then change the color remember looking at color chips in the stor will not necessary be the same as it is in the rm you plan to paint different lights or windows affect the color too. Hope this helps

Can you tell us the name of the color chip? I'm not sure what exactly you mean by "melony red". Are you even sure you want red in that room? Red is a very "in your face" color and that room appears on the small side. bvg
