There is a high heat formula, I'm no expert, but that may be worth looking at. I used it recently to repaint my fireplace face.

I've used their metallic spray paint on both a vanity fixture and a floor lamp and both have worked out just fine. I wouldn't leave the lights on and leave the house for hours, but I haven't had issues with peeling or chipping.

Lantana, does the painted surface get hot? On my fixture part of the painted surface surrounds the bulb and is metal. It definitely gets hot. The rustoleum for hot surfaces is very limited in colors :(

Yeah, they get hot. One fixture has glass globes over the bulbs, which I'm sure absorbs some heat, but not all of it. The lamp is all metal, with metal shades covering the bulbs. I just painted the outside of the fixture and left the inside (which encompasses the bulbs) white. I'll upload pics so you can see what I did.

Now, these lamps were painted in two different colors. The oil rubbed bronze comes out glittery and I'm not a huge fan of the outcome. However, the hammered burnished amber came out beautifully! I'm not sure what color you're planning on using, but I thought I'd give you a heads up on the finishes. Good luck!

Thanks! The lamp compares other than my bulb is a large and round 150 watt. I think leaving the inside white is a good idea
