| Hello!
I am moving into a new apartment next month and the landlord will be re-painting the apartment. He has given me the chance to change the colors if I want so here is where I need some help. I have never picked colors before so I am a bit clueless. I actually like the colors in the kitchen(light yellow) and the bathroom(light blue) but I am stuck on the living room and the bedrooms. I am thinking browns/yellows/greens. One of the reasons I am finding it so difficult is because the home is older and has all chocolate brown trim and every picture I look at has white trim. He is not willing to change the brown trim so I need a color/colors that will work with this chocolate brown. Here is the color of the trim: http://voiceofcolor.com/search/color-results?q=chocolate kiss I actually don't mind the living room too much(it's a medium green) but it would be great if I could even change the bedrooms. I was thinking of this color but I am nervous it is too dark: http://voiceofcolor.com/search/color-results?q=pony tail Any suggestions or help on either rooms would be greatly appreciated ! :) Thank you! |

| Welcome to GardenWeb, Jenna20. It's great that your landlord is willing to paint the apt and let you choose the colors. A couple ideas for you: If you don't get a lot of responses here, try posting this on the Home Decorating forum. If you can find a Ben Moore color that matches Chocolate Kiss, you could look in their color gallery for complementary colors. I looked up a random brown Ben Moore shade to show you. For my personal tastes, I would go with a lighter cream color rather than the beige that Pony Tail appears to be on my screen. |
Here is a link that might be useful: Matches to Ben Moore brown color
