| Hi! I need some advice. We're repainting our house-- which has white semi-gloss in every room. My question is-- is it necessary to do anything special to the semi-gloss in order to paint eggshell over it? We're not changing color--- the new paint is white as well, so it should cover fairly easily, I think . I really don't want to have to sand all the walls -- so much dust... The existing paint has been there for over 10 years.
I want to go with eggshell because I think it would show less imperfections and might be more preferable to potential buyers... Would it require less prep work to recoat with a new coat of semi-gloss? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! :-) |

| I would pole sand. It doesn't create much dust at all. You could also wash the walls with Dirtex. |

| pole sanding, with 120 grit sandpaper is really the best way' should only take 5 to 10 min per 12 x 12 room you can buy large sanding heads say about a foot around to make it go faster |

| Also consider matte instead of eggshell, less shine and still durable |
