Sore hand after painting with a brush-prevention/therapy ideas?

I've been doing a lot of brush painting in the past few months preparing our house for sale and I'm finding that my brush hand gets sore. I notice the soreness most in the top center of my palm. It doesn't stop me from painting, but I don't want to develop some kind of repetitive stress injury or arthritis.

I'm using 2-3" brushes and they are lightweight and I don't load them with a lot of paint because I'm doing mainly doors, trim and edging.

Could I be holding the paintbrush too tightly or doing something else wrong? I know people paint professionally all day long so the little I'm doing here and there can't compare to that.

Any suggestions for holding the paintbrush to avoid the soreness or even therapeutic ideas?

Thanks.
