Paint or stain pine doors and stairs? or leave alone...

Howdy. I just posted in the d�cor forum too. I'm hoping to get some ideas on our staircase and doors off our office. We redid our hardwood a while back (tore out the oak) and put in a darker floor with some red in it. Now I feel like the stairs and doors clash since they are lighter with the oragny look. I don't really want to paint them white so I have been thinking about staining them. Any ideas? Thank you.
