Needing to make a decision on my trim (it's fairly large - craftsman style) and my ceilings. At my old house I used SW Designer White. I'm being steered towards Pratt & Lambert "chalk gray". The lady suggesting this said it is a very warm, creamy color. I did get a swatch and it's warm but I'm worried that it's such a muted color that I won't have the traditional popping of white that I am so use to.

Should your ceilings and wood trim even "pop" ? Is that look out of date?

Anyone have another suggestion or is this a good choice - the rest of the house will be pretty neutral - camels, tans and some green.
