I have most of a can of Zinsser Seal-coat (dewaxed shellac) that I actively use on and off for small projects, but the lid's all crusty and doesn't close very well anymore.

Any reason I can't strain it into glass canning jars with the two-part lid, seal well and keep out of direct light? Or any other suggestions?
