Just finished painting our living room Ben Moore Chestertown Buff and it looks great. But now the front hall, up the stairs , and the upstairs hall, which were all painted Windham Cream several years ago, look washed out against the Chestertown Buff. Or maybe it just seems to clash a bit.

While the living room has good light, the halls and stairway have virtually no natural light, so we'd prefer to keep it a lighter color. Our trim is standard white (dove?). The dining room is BM Chili Pepper red. It's a 50 year old standard colonial.

Any thoughts for the hallway and stairway walls? Thank you.
