Hi, I ordered a new porch door and it is half-lite with a removable colonial grille. I'd like to paint one side of the door black and the inside of the door white to match my interior trim...anyone know how to paint the grilles without messing them up? Thanks so much!

Also, has anyone painted their exterior doors a different color on the outside? Pictures please!

I would keep the grills all one color inside and out.

Paint one side and then paint the other side. I would use something with some sheen so that when you paint the other side you can easily clean off the oops from the paint leaking over the edge. When you paint the final side, use a good brush and brush away from the edge to minimize getting paint on the finished side. Honestly, grill painting with 2 colors is not a fun job, even for a pro.
