I am one confused person right now. We most probably have oil based trim in our house right now. When we repainted one room lately Benjamin Moore store sold us this stuff to wipe over paint (all I can remember is Krud Kutter was the brand) to etch it and then paint a good quality latex over it. It was very expensive latex. Now we are putting little bit more trim and french doors in the hallway. Should I still go with this latex? Should I have stuck with oil-based? Our house used to be just stained wood but the previous owners painted over all of it. All the cabinets in the living room are thick looking paint that is starting to yellow but yet you can tell they used latex say in our bathroom. Opinions please!
Also, our house is cedar or cypress can't remember what hubby told me. BUT we are having a new door installed. What kind of exterior paint is being used now?
