I'm going to be rehabbing a place that has luan aka lauan panels all over the kitchen, LR/DR and ugly cabinets may be cheap plywood too. I know it's going to be a huge job, so what to do first after scrubbing & letting it all dry a few days? Should I use separate primer coat or can I safely use a combo like SW "Superpaint"? How to best save time & effort since I have so many areas to do? And do I have to go with a really dark color or will a neutral with a color tint cover paneling sufficiently? (Also have been thinking of going all white as that looks great over paneling...but hubby never washes his hands...so I need something that will wear well!)
