Sheen on sheen problem

I had to touch up my eggshell wall and painted eggshell over eggshell, and now that part is shinier than the rest. What should I do about this? I read that you take some of the sheen down by sanding it with a 400 grit sandpaper. Someone else suggested trying brown paper bag first, and that took it down a little, but not enough. Thanks!

RE: Sheen on sheen problem

Paint the whole wall.Touching up is for the most part impossible, especially with any sheen.
