How to correct peeling enamel

Silvey Marshall

I painted my white front door black, using a high gloss oil-based enamel. I taped the windows with frog tape. I left it on through two coats of paint. Big mistake. When I peeled it off, a thin, jagged strip of the black enamel came off. I've tried to cut the edge to get rid of the rolled up paint, but I can't get it all.

Before I used the enamel, I painted the door with Zinzer bonding primer. Should i paint the stripped areas with the primer or go in with the black enamel again and hope it "glues" the edges down?
