I need to repaint the basement stairs (wood plank). What would be recommended as far as brand, type, etc.? It's a fairly high traffic area, and I also washed frequently.

I like the Muralo Sure Tred. But, as with anything, proper prep is very important for areas where people walk and you should be realistic and expect some maintenance.

Steps were previously carpeted, so I scraped up all the glue, picked out the staples, sanded and primed last summer. I used an enamel paint and need to repaint them a different color. I am okay with occasional touch ups and repainting every year or two. (Should I raise or lower my expectations?) I will take a look at the Sure Tred, but I was hoping for something tintable, as I need to match a color (as close as I can). I looked at their site and the Quik Tred is tintable, not sure about the Ultra or Super Treds, but I didn't see the Sure Tred. Is it similar to any of those?

Maybe it's called Quik Tred and I just screwed up the name. It is reasonable to expect at least a touch up every 2 years.
