We're planning to re-paint kitchen cabinets (going fro black to yellow) and have read lots of good advice. I'm wondering if we can use steel wool (not sure how fine a grade) to apply the TSP solution. We could clean and cut some of the gloss at the same time. We're planning to use a primer but not sand; then 2 coats of paint.
