So, here in NYS, we can't get the Benjamin Moore Alkyd Porch & Floor Enamel--only the Latex Floor and Patio Enamel.
I can make the 40 minute drive to Vermont and get the oil-based if it's that much better.

New Douglas Fir Porch, already primed with oil-based BM primer on all 6 sides, wraps around the north and east side of the house.

Paint salesman in the family says that oil-based fades. But I mainly care about a thick, sturdy, glossy coat of paint plus preserving the wood as much as possible.

Any thoughts? Worth the drive or just go latex?
