| Web site says it does not need a primer but we're painting yellow to cover black kitchen cabinets.
This is not Ace Hardware's Cabinet paint but if anyone can compare the two for coverability and durability, I'd appreciate it. Also any other paint suggestions. |

| Color change doesn't drive the need for a primers, it's the substrate you are painting and/or the transparency of the color you have selected. When it comes to cabinets, there is a ton of information on this site about preparation, priming and application. Do a search and follow the instructions. As for Cabinet Coat, it is also talked about quite extensively here as well. Overall, an excellent product for cabinets. |
