Cant get a smooth finish on cabinet doors

I bought new MDF cabinet doors. Primed, sanded( 220), painted with SW Duration semi gloss using air compressor paint gun and the finish keeps turning out looking like suede. I used the finest spray setting that the duration would allow and after 3 coats ,sanding in between,it's still the same. What am I doing wrong?

leessa... forgive me for highjacking your thread... unfortunately I don't have an answer. I would call SW and talk with the manager.

But, I was hoping you would share the type of the air compressor paint gun you are using.

Good luck. After three coats I would be drinking. A lot.
