Has anyone tried the insulating paint additive? For reference, it is sold on amazon. It is supposed to help insulate a wall. Thank you for your help.

There is a long thread about this dating back to 2007 that you might want to read, in addition to any new information you may get with this thread.

Here is a link that might be useful: Insulating paint

RE: Insulating paint

oh this insulating paint is good.. where can we buy that? my father is painting our living room i guess i can suggest that.. is it less odor? i hate the smell of paint i just run our air purifier to lessen the odor, i'm actually looking for paint with less odor and this insulating paint is good as well..

RE: Insulating paint

This was touted about 10 years ago. The hype lasted about 6 months. They claim it works by reflection - this is on the exterior of a building - reflecting the heat.

If this was anything more than marginally effective, everyone would be using it.

On the inside walls it's useless.

RE: Insulating paint

I see.. thanks for the info Geoffrey! :) i thought we can have a paint with insulator and less odor.. i am actually looking for paint with less odor .. no other way just to let the odor fade away, open windows and run an electric fan or filter the air with a purifier to lessen the odor
