| Hi again!
I used zinsser cover stain on my cabinets. The first coat went on fine but as I start the 2nd it doesn't go on as smoothly. The brush drags and pulls. Does anyone know why this is? Could it be that I don't need 2 coats of primer? Could I switch to another primer such as BM fresh start for the 2nd coat. I'm using oil based primer by the way. Thanks! Thanks! |

| I'm not sure why you were doing two coats of primer or why it was dragging (too soon on recoat time, perhaps?), but I hope you found a solution last year! For some reason this popped up to the top again, and I'm just responding so this will move down again with the old posts. |

| No need what so ever for 2 coats of primer |

| It is not the primer. Try some FLOETROL in the paint, or wet your brush [with water] while applying. |
|
| Cover Stain is oil based. Floetrol is for latex paints only. |

| "It is not the primer. Try some FLOETROL in the paint" - plus, if I read this correctly, the OP was still using primer, not yet painting. In any case, it's an old post that popped up somehow, so I doubt it's still an issue. |
