I've sampled over 20 colors, and the color that looks best with all the elements in our great room is B.M. Revere Pewter. However, most of the downstairs is painted rich cream, which is somewhat yellow. Painting the rest of the house is not an option. The kitchen, downstairs hall, and upstairs hall are all visible from the room. (The ceiling is vaulted.) There are no shared walls in the great room though.

I go back and forth as to whether the two colors can be used near each other. We don't want to go with a tan, gold or beige, and want something very neutral. My style is traditional, and a bit formal. Trim is Dover white throughout the house. Any thoughts?
