Approximately how long should I expect it to take a professional painting company to paint the interior of a 4000 square foot house, with all one wall color, and white ceiling and trim? The house would be empty, so there's no furniture to cover or work around. I know how long it would take me, but I'm hoping a pro can do it a lot faster.

There are way too many unknowns, but I would guess between 80 and 160 man hours.

I agree. Tough to gauge as there are so many variables. there is almost always some prep work. His man hour estimate looks good to me. Offer a done-by-a-certain-date incentive but there's risk in the quality slipping, of course.

A 4,000 SF house means nothing. What's the SF of wall area?
