Need very experienced expert painter opinion

Painting over stained cedar ceiling. Probably 1096's-70's. No gloss at all, just stain. Started with Ben Mor latex. Great. No bleed even 24 hrs later. Decided I should prime anyway, and applied Zensser Bull'sEye. I got orangey bleed IMMEDIATELY.

I don't understand this since both the paint and the primer are water-based. Called Rustoleum and the guy had no clue.

So. Do I just go with the paint and hope the bleed doesn't sneak up later? Or do I go get oil-based primer and use that first? (pleasepleasepleaseplease say just paint?)

If you have stain, you will have to prime anyway in order to have better quality. stain is to hard to cover it sorry!!.
