| Smooth & silky, like buttah...
I am one who reads and reads, and asks 1000 questions. I picked up some Cabinet Coat, which was able to be tinted to the color I wanted for my cabinets. I also picked up some STIX for the melamine I wanted to paint, and oil-based primer for the wood. 2 days, 2 coats of primer on everything. A light sanding in between each coat. The first coat of paint went onto those primers like silk. The Cabinet Coat dries beautifully. Touching showed I barely needed a sanding at all. A nub or two, but really nothing. This stuff is smooth... Painted from 4:30 yesterday afternoon and finished at 1:00 this morning. And now I am just resisting the temptation to put everything in place and in use. I will let this paint cure for as long as I can stand it. Here is a story about how carried away and focused I get: What not to do while painting. Anyone who is vascillating between primers and cabinet paint? Don't waste your time. Cabinet Coat is fabulous. Thanks for all the recommendations,
