We are preparing to embark on the same project and I have been talking to a few pros regarding what it takes to achieve a nice glass like appearance on our white trim. One recommendation that I have receive time and again is to use a "self-leveling" paint which is a paint that will level itself out of brush strokes etc. The one that was recommended to me in particular was SW ProClassic.

Pro Classic is an excellent paint for your project. A Chinex brush is the best applicator for the Pro Classic paint.

To help alleviate some misunderstanding, Pro Classic does indeed level quickly. That is a property of true waterborne paints. However, if you overbrush the product, the brush marks will not level out.

You'll want to lay on the paint, back brush to level and move on. It's tacky in 30 seconds.

Pro Classic water borne is great but tends to drag especially in warmer temperatures. Pros around here use an additive to improve flowability and open time. Your local SW store should have one on the shelf. The results with an additive are amazing.

Thanks for adding the recommendation on the brush. I was wondering if any particular brush would make this project easier and now I know!
