I bought a 1930 bungalow over a year ago and have about finished the inside remodel. Now to tackle the chipping, peeling paint on the outside. It has lead paint, 2 costs plus a latex coat put on 12 years ago. The siding is Dutch or German and in relatively good shape. Want to remove all the old paint to prevent having to strip it again in 10 years. I have researched many options, called painters (no return calls). Replacing the siding and trim is not an option as the house is in a historical district and trying to find replacement boards has been difficult.
