LOL, I did sand the boxes. They are like 40 years old and now they look brand new! They don't and never had any finish on them whatsoever. Not sure if that is normal or not. I hate our cabs. Wish I could get new ones but unfortunately all our budget will allow for is paint.

I just had a "duh" moment and realized you were talking about the cabinet boxes right?? Yes, I am washing, sanding, priming, painting those. LOL I thought you were referring to the boxes on the drawers.

Yep! I'm following the instructions to the letter! I was just unclear whether I should use the MS on bare wood. Seems kind of greasy to me, but I did one, and it was fine after it evaporated/dried.
