| Hi - we bought an unfinished wooden armoire/TV cabinet years ago and painted it black. We used gray primer and I think 3 coats of black paint. I would like to repaint it a brown or dark rust color - any tips on how to do this? Even possible over black paint? Thanks! |

| Sure - you can paint over black or any dark color for that matter. Walls, furniture or whatever. Modern paint and its covering abilities means you can change whatever you want to. Most comprehensive thing to do is take a door or a drawer into your local pro paint store and let them guide you on the products you need for your project. You'll need to know what primer and paint was originally used on the piece. |
