| Hi, I posted this in the furniture, but so far haven't gotten an answer, so I thought I'd try the experts here.
I am painting some old bedroom furniture ("Hollywood" from the '50s), and I bought SW's French Roast. I've tried it on one of the drawers, but I don't think it's dark enough for the look I want. Can anyone recommend a very, very dark brown (any brand)? Thank you. |

| Have you looked at Benjamin Moore's Bittersweet Chocolate? It's pretty dark, without looking black. I painted a table this color and it looks pretty dark. I was happy with how it came out. |

| Thank you for the suggestion hayden2. My husband is picking up a chip of the BM paint today, so I will take a look at it and see if it is any darker than the French Roast i have. Here's hoping. Any more suggestions are welcome! |
