accidentally painted semi-gloss :(

We are painting our livingroom and bathroom in the same color. We had a can of eggshell for the living room and a can of semigloss for the bathroom. We accidentally messed up and just painted the livingroom in the semigloss. We just did it his morning. Do I have to sand it down before we re-do with the eggshell?

If you wait over 30 days it will complicate the repaint. Although the paint is 'dry' in a matter of an hour or so, it takes up to 30 days to fully cure. After full cure, you would be better to do a light sanding.

Basically, do it now and you'll be fine. Wait a month, and you're asking for more work.
