I spray painted a thrift store faux bamboo mirror with rustoleum flat spray paint - realized my mistake, I wanted glossy, so purchased same color in rustoleum enamel. Sprayed over it - disaster. Paint bubbled up in many spots. Have tried to remove with paint remover, sanding, etc. looks horrible due to faux bamboo nooks and crannies that can't get cleaned out. Where did I go wrong - why can't you paint glossy over flat, they were the same brand??
