Redwood Deck Stain Failing?

headsup286

I just built a new redwood deck about 10 months ago. It was stained with a transparent Armstrong wood stain when built. I did some light sanding of the new redwood prior to the staining and after the stain application everything looked fine (i.e. no blotching, streakiness or apparent problems). When water got onto the deck, it would bead up appear not to get absorbed at that time. Now it looks like the wood is absorbing the water more. I understand that Id need to reapply a stain every couple of years but 10 months seemed a little quick. I attached some pictures showing what it looks like after raining. Is the stain is failing to protect the wood anymore? Do I need to stain it again? Should I just grab a beer, a chair and enjoy it because there is no problem at all? Thanks for the help.
