Paint for bead board ceiling?

Would like advice on what finish I should paint my ceiling. I have had wooden bead board installed over my ceiling in one of my bedrooms I am at the painting stage but don't know which "finish" would be best? I particularly like the way a flat finish looks the best (I live alone so dust/dirt) is not an issue at all. Would a flat finish be a bad idea on bead board? Also should I put a primer on first or no? The color will be "country white". I've attached a photo what would you recommend? I'm also adding crown molding and my walls will be painted in a flat finish!
