Think about exactly what you're putting into the paint. P of P is pure gypsum. Chalk can be any number of things, but classically it is calcite. What does real "store bought'n" chalk paint have in it as the mineral ingredient?

Thanks, Casey. There are a few recipes online for painting furniture. I could only find the Calcium Carbonate powder online. People seem to be having success with the PoP. I will check out ingredients on some of the brands out there. I think Annie Sloan's is proprietary and not disclosed. I'm sure it isn't PoP.

Maybe for the larger project I will not make my own, lol.
