Paint or replace Oak Veneer door jambs

I'm going to be replacing my oak flush doors with painted molded 2 panels doors and was wondering should I use the same jambs and paint them or replace them. I'll be ordering new trim for the doors since I'm not even going to try to paint the oak trim. Has anyone painted oak veneer jambs before ? Open to suggestions.
