One on either end of the work area, aimed at an angle towards the area.

not hold them

I've gotten two small inexpensive halogens from the Home Depot, 500W. Do you use just one, angled from one end of the surface?

Are you getting to that age where you are starting to need reading glasses? I recently painted our guest bedroom and used reading glasses for the first time while cutting in ... it really helped!

Yes, the eyes are aging! I think my eyesight is what I miss most about growing old. I've reached the point where I need glasses for both near and far. So it's a struggle. Glare and shadows seem to make things very difficult, even with the glasses.

I hope the halogens do the trick. They certainly are bright!

Way too much glare with these little 500 watters. I am blinded and then can't see, lol. Only used one. Maybe in a larger space than a small bathroom. It's hard to get a good angle to the wall too.
