| I would like to mix 50-50 of Aura Satin Timid White and BM Regal semi-gloss Bone White. I know Latex and Aura are different, and I'm 100% sure BM would say NO, but has this ever been done before? What's the downside or risk?
I am painting five hallway-facing doors in a small hallway offwhite and would like to utilize some leftover paints I've got hanging around. The abutting rooms have Aura satin Timid White (fairly bright) and BM bone white (very creamy) and Muralo Antique White (also creamy) and another BM bright white, forget its name. I am okay with the fact that the narrow edge of the door won't be a perfect match with the inside-facing part of the door. no one will ever notice if my new color is reasonably close. I think the Timid White and Bone White color blend will bridge the gap nicely with all the abutting rooms. The hallway doesn't get much natural light (and only a single 75w closed light fixture), so I think I can get away with a few sins. What do you think? |

| It MAY be OK... The 2 resins involved are pretty different, even though they're both "water-based". Faron |
