Painting over wallpaper

| I have successfully painted over grasscloth paper, and now would like to try strings wallpaper. Has anyone done this? what were the results?? |

| I would sincerely rather tear out the sheetrock and start new...HONEST. Depending on your expectation-level, I'd rather start clean! Faron |

| I happen to believe there is a special place in hell for people who paint over wallpaper. But to answer your question, it would be the same process for strings wallpaper as other grasscloth wallpaper. |

As to that special place in hell, I'm 78 so by the time someone else wants to redo this, who knows, I may be in hell, although at the present I don't plan to go there. The painting starts Monday!! |

| Be kind to the next owner...don't do it. I had to remove painted over wallpaper from our first house 10 years ago and I'm still scarred! |
