I remember that link, but it was too late for me since I had already put the shelving in my cabinets. I didn't save it, but what I did do was arrange my pantry according to heights so I would know how much room I needed between shelves. The idea of course was to incorporate as many shelves as I could into the space available. If you have slide-out shelving, putting the cans on their sides (so you can see the labels) is helpful. Otherwise, just measure the height of the items you normally stock in your pantry.

Didn't it start at 13/14 inches and go up to around 5 inches?

I have something better for you than that list:

Adjustable pull-outs.

Use these clips and shelf standards from Accuride (and their drawer glides), and you can have adjustable pullouts in a pnatry cabinet. (A pullout is simply a short-sided shelf on drawer slides)

If it's a pantry closet, get these shelf standards & brackets

Then you can adjust stuff as you need it--no measuring needed ahead of time.
