One of the people here has a son in Afghanistan in the army. His group is working with the locals as much as they can and found out the kids need shoes. A local moving company donated a small truck and it is parked in a church parking lot for donations. They have already sent 3-4 loads of shoes, mostly new or very little wear, some coats, blankets ets to his squadron. They then give them to the children for use. He said they really appreciate it. Once he comes back the program ends. |
